Juan Alberto Fierro is a nephrologist and visual artist. He was born in Santiago de Chile  in 1951.

After retiring as a physician in 2020, Juan Alberto Fierro has worked intensely and fruitfully in the visual arts. His participation in a set of training spaces stands out, in both formal (Las Condes Clinic, PUC School of Art, among others), and informal workshops (private classes with prominent watercolorists and visual artists). In addition, he has participated in a set of exhibitions: Las Condes Clinic Exhibition (2018 and 2919) and APECH collective exhibition "Colors of Jazz".

He is currently an active member of the APECH (Association of Painters and Sculptors of Chile). His long stays in rural environments in the V region of Chile and other rural country locations have led him to paint various natural landscapes. He has developed a skilful use of light to create a chromatic harmony that encourages the viewer to re-examine his relationship with nature.
